I know that Halloween is still 2 months away, but since I (almost) always make my kids’ costumes, I try to think about it early. Okay, to be perfectly honest, I can’t remember a year when I wasn’t working on the costumes the day of, but at least I start thinking about it early. That counts for something, right?
Now, I’ve made some pretty creative stuff. However, my attempts have been ground to dust by the parents of these children. I Waste So Much Time captions it as: “Parenting Level 439932.” I agree.
Here’s who they are (I think) from top to bottom, in case you weren’t sure:
1. Edward Scissorhands
2. Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas
3. Russell, the Wilderness Explorer from Up
5. Captain America and Thor from The Avengers
6. Harry Potter
7. Frodo Baggins, or another hobbit from Lord of the Rings
8. Heath Ledger’s Joker from The Dark Night
9. Alex Delarge from A Clockwork Orange?
How fun to be able to dress up your kids before they are old enough to choose their own costumes. We were able to dress up our first kid however we wanted when he was little, but his little brother? He had plans for his little brother’s costumes before he was even born!
Which one is your favorite? They’re all great, but I like Edward Scissorhands (one of my favorite movies) the best. I just wonder how the heck they got that little kid to agree to wearing all that gear. They’re all adorable!
Do you make your kids costumes? Do they already know what they want to be this year, or if they’re too little, do you know?
